Nature Center at Broadmoor Wildlife Sanctuary

Broadmoor Wildlife Sanctuary offers a unique natural setting for events such as Corporate Retreats and Meetings and Mass Audubon members’ parties. Saltonstall Nature Center includes a large sunny room and adjacent Birders’ Lounge overlooking the Broadmoor bird feeders and Indian Brook marsh.

Types of Functions: Corporate retreats and meetings. Private functions must be approved by the sanctuary director.

Maximum Capacity: Space is limited to 80 people for an assembly style event, 50 seated at tables.

Availability: Any time Tuesday through Sunday that the rooms are not scheduled for Broadmoor programs or events. Limited availability during the day on weekends and holidays during May, June, September, and October. Private functions must be approved by the sanctuary director.

Rates: $400 per day (9 am – 5 pm weekdays), $500 for weekend days (10:00am – 5:00pm) and any evening use (5:00 pm – 10 pm). Space may be reserved with a $50 deposit. Events exceeding scheduled time will be charged $50 per additional hour or portion thereof. To get rates and contact information for weddings and special events see brochure (PDF 292K).

Food Storage/Prep: Food may be served, but not prepared on site. A small refrigerator is available. Renter and/or caterers/bartenders are responsible for cleanliness of the kitchen area. A $100 deposit is required for all rentals involving food. The deposit will be returned following the rental after inspection by Broadmoor staff.

Parking: Onsite parking available.

A/V Equipment: Cell phone service onsite may vary depending on provider.

Additional Amenities: Access to nine miles of sanctuary trails including the All Person’s accessible boardwalk over Indian Brook Marsh. Naturalist led nature walks are also available for breaks during meetings. Contact us for more information and rates.

Please note: No smoking inside or outside the building. Serving alcoholic beverages in permitted only under strictly controlled conditions and requires that a Certificate of Insurance and Waiver of Liability be secured and provided by the renter. All activity is restricted to the scheduled room. Responsibility for setup and cleanup lies solely with the renter(s).
