Weddings and Other Special Functions
Community residents and Mass Audubon members alike cherish Long Pasture Wildlife Sanctuary for its tranquil beauty and captivating wildlife. With its open space and magnificent views of Barnstable Harbor, Long Pasture offers a natural outdoor setting for weddings, receptions and other special events. The location for weddings and receptions is the ½ acre lawn surrounding the Long Pasture House, a Cape built in 1948 and formerly a private residence. The lawn easily permits the installation of one or more party tents, and the house’s kitchen is available for use by caterers. There is a bathroom available for the event in the house as well. Parking for approximately 60 cars is available on mowed sections of an adjacent field approximately 400 feet from the house. The terrace of Long Pasture’s cape Cod Style house leads to a small pond and trail network which takes you through a variety of ornamental and native trees as it makes its way to the harbor overlooks. Guests are welcome to enjoy all of Long Pasture’s trails and grounds before and after the event.
