Esther Underwood Johnson Nature Center

Set within Wellfleet Bay’s 1,100+ acres of salt marsh, sandy beach, pine woodland, freshwater pond, and rare heathland, the Esther Underwood Johnson Nature Center is a beautiful setting for your gathering, whatever the occasion. We have several meeting areas that can be arranged to suit your needs for up to 80 people.

Types of Functions: Meetings and social gatherings

Maximum Capacity: 80 people maximum

Availability: Year-round

Rates: Fee varies with event size, type, and duration

Food Storage/Prep: No kitchen facility; cleaning deposit required for food and beverage service

Parking: Onsite parking available for 60 cars

A/V Equipment: 80 chairs; 15 tables

Additional Amenities: Five miles of trails; green nature center

Please note: Registration in advance is required. A signed rental agreement and payment are required at the time of booking. No smoking anywhere on the sanctuary. No use of helium balloons or release of animals (i.e. butterflies, doves, etc). All trash must be bagged and removed by renter.
