Cape Cod Field Schools
Active Field Courses for Adults

Enjoy learning in the beautiful coastal setting of Cape Cod. Mass Audubon's Wellfleet Bay Wildlife Sanctuary offers a wide variety of field courses for adults which focus on the unique coastal environment and wildlife of Cape Cod. Field Schools emphasize active outdoor "in-the-field" experiences and are taught by professional naturalists and scientists.
Coastal Ecology by Kayak, Shorebirds of Cape Cod, Salt Marsh & Shoreline Botany, and the Art of Nature Sketching are just a few examples of our more popular topics. Courses are either 2 or 4 days in length providing just enough time to immerse yourself in the subject.
The beaches, woods, dunes, and wetlands of the 43,000-acre Cape Cod National Seashore, the 1,000-acre Wellfleet Bay Wildlife Sanctuary, the wilderness islands of Monomoy National Wildlife Refuge, and the waters of Cape Cod will provide the setting for the courses. Previous experience is not required-just an inquisitive mind and an eagerness to learn!
